Everything starts with a blank page. A piece of land, a house, an operating theatre, a 150 m² stage, an old workshop, a future luxury boutique… From then on, the stories to be invented are multiple and infinite. Who will walk through the doors of this unborn place? Who will live there? A man or a woman? Or perhaps it will be an artist who never sleeps at night? Maxime d’Angeac loves nothing more than to put his goldsmith’s precision and his taste for storytelling at the service of private clients in search of an interior that makes sense both with who they are and with their lifestyle.

MADE-TO-MEASURE & CRAFT
In his design approach, he says he is “very inspired by the architects of the early 20th century, all of whom were classically trained. In the wake of his inspirations, he establishes the generic of his construction site according to the specialties of the craftsmen and contractors belonging to his circle of followers. How else could he rely on his partners if not by choosing them for their skills and the trust he puts in them?
For each project, a team of craftsmen – upholsterers, cabinet makers, stone cutters, lighting designers – is assembled, bringing a unique know-how that will make each project unique. Everything down to the door handle is designed on Maxime D’Angeac’s projects.

Just as he has always been careful to blur the line between architecture and interior design, he has always been careful never to create a fixed and dehumanized decor that would be a lifeless demonstration. “To create a setting that can only be photographed is, in my opinion, meaningless,” he says.
To give the impression of life as if things had always been there, to work with materials as if they had been there in the past, to give the place a contemporary atmosphere… these are the rules of Maxime d’Angeac who excels in juggling with gold, color, luxurious materials and the finest craftsmanship.
